About Grace:

I have always loved to read. As a child, going to the library was a highlight and I would read through entire shelves of Historical Fiction until every single favorite author’s works were exhausted.

The power of the written word captivated me and I knew from a young age that I wanted to be a writer. I wrote my first “novel” as a senior in high school for my English project. Of course, when I read it now, I giggle at my word choice and cringe at my sentence structure, but I had so much fun writing it that I decided to Major in Creative Writing and Minor in History. I loved studying the art of creative writing, so I stayed in school and obtained my Masters in Creative Writing as well. I wrote part of a novel for my thesis and finished it after I graduated. It was better than my first, but it definitely was not going to get published. I needed to try again.

So, I studied the market and found an era and story that I loved and wrote long into the night for six months until I had finally finished it. Novel number three turned out to be a winner! With my Victorian novel, I was able to sign with Tamela Hancock Murray at The Steve Laube Agency

After signing with Tamela, I sold three novellas to Barbour Publishing  in The Second Chance Brides Collection,  The Southern Belle Brides Collection, and the Thimbles and Threads collections! And then, in March 2019, I released my debut novel, The White City,  from Barbour Publishing and signed for a second novel, The Gray Chamber, that released in January 2020.

In January 2020, I signed with Bethany House Publishers for my first ever series!!!! My first book in the American Royalty series, My Dear Miss Dupré released March 2021 and my second, Her Darling Mr. Day released January 2022, followed by His Delightful Lady Delia in November 2022.

In June 2022, I signed with Kregel Publications for a humorous REGENCY ROMANCE series!!! Book one in the series is now pretty much complete and will be hitting the shelves in April 2024. While I wait for its release, I’m keeping busy writing  my second book in the series, which I can’t say much about quite yet 🙂

With this website, I thought I’d share some book reviews of some of my favorite books and a little bit about what I am learning from attending writers conferences, researching and studying as I continue writing Historical Fiction and hopefully, I’ll help you on your own writing journey through my blog.
