If you are suffering from a book hangover, check out some of my new favorite reads to get you out of your book slump!!! These are the type of books that make you wish you could read them again for the first time.
Happy reading, friends!!!

To Write a Wrong by Jen Turano

To Write a Wrong  is so good and laugh out loud funny! Love, Love, Love the heroine, Daphne, who is a secret mystery writer and a member of the Bleecker Street Inquiry Agency–both occupations which lead to delightful mayhem that will leave not only Daphne swooning, but the hearts of the readers in this sweet romance.

FIVE stars!!! Action-packed! Easy-to-read! Entertaining! Great world building! Happily-Ever-After! Page-turner! Twisted! Unpredictable! Whimsical! Witty! And above all WONDERFUL characters!!

Proposing Mischief by Regina Jennings

Once you start Proposing Mischief, it is very hard to put down. Maisie Kentworth is such a unique leading lady. She and her hero, Boone, create an absolutely endearing power couple. Woven with a delightfully sweet romance with an entertaining plot, Regina’s new release will have you turning the pages and thinking about the book while not reading. A must-read for sure!

Note: I did not read Book Two in order of The Joplin Chronicles, but I don’t feel like you have to start with Book One in order to enjoy Proposing Mischief.

FIVE STARS! Unpredictable! Easy-to-read! Happily Ever After! Great world building! Witty! Funny! Entertaining! Wonderful characters! Action-packed! Page-turner! Romantic!

A Mosaic of Wings by Kimberly Duffy

What a beautiful story! I absolutely loved the development of the hero and heroine’s relationship that reminds one of Anne Shirley and Gilbert Blythe. With a magical tone, this debut author weaves a rich tale that will have her readers lost in the beauty of India and the wonders of entomology. This is a MUST read book!

FIVE stars! Action-packed! Easy-to-read! Entertaining! Great world building! Haunting! Happily Ever After! Informative! Inspirational! Page-turner! Romantic! Unpredictable! Wonderful characters!

Masquerade at Middlecrest Abbey: A Regency Romance by Abigail Wilson

You know a book is well done when you think about the story and characters when you are away from the pages. This is my first novel by Abigail Wilson and I am now a huge fan! Her writing has a very Charlotte Brontë feel that draws the reader back to another time with such ease that it brings the story and characters to further life. The mystery engages the reader and to my delight, is unpredictable. Fans of Sarah E. Ladd and Julie Klassen will devour this book!

FIVE STARS! Wonderful characters! Entertaining! Action-packed! Page-turner! Haunting! Romantic! Unpredictable! Tragic! Easy-to-read! Informative!

Dusk’s Darkest Shores by Carolyn Miller

Amazing character development and a storyline that had me wishing I was reading when I was away from the book! Fans of Julie Klassen and Sarah E. Ladd will love this one!

FIVE stars! Page-turner! Inspirational! Realistic! Original! Tear-jerker! Tragic! Romantic! Happily Ever After! Wonderful characters! Haunting!

The Gentleman Spy by Erica Vetsch

The Gentleman Spy is a beautiful story of redemption, love, and courage. I LOVED the heroine, who always has her nose in a book and has a tendency to speak her mind, a trait that her hero finds endearing. If you are a fan of Regency Romance and of Zorro, you HAVE to read The Gentleman Spy. Full of swashbuckling romance!

FIVE STARS! Action-packed! Great world building! Haunting! Happily Ever After! Page-turner! Romantic! Tear-jerker! Tragic! Unpredictable! Witty! Wonderful characters!

Waterfall: The River of Time Series by Lisa T. Bergren

I am already a fan of Lisa T. Bergren’s writing, so when I picked up Waterfall, I knew it was going to be a great read, but WOW. I have been gushing about this series to anyone who causally mentions they need a new book to read. Poor things don’t know what hit them when they ask an avid reader and writer a question like that haha!

Do you love reads taking place in Italy? Enjoy a swashbuckling romance? Knights and fair maidens (who can look after themselves for the most part)? And enjoy reading long into the night when your eyes are burning in your head but you must finish this chapter?? Nay! The entire book??

I read the first three books in this YA series from the library and knew I HAD TO HAVE THEM ALL. And for Christmas in 2019, my amazing husband bought me the series and they are AUTOGRAPHED by the author!!! This is easily the best YA book I have read in 2019 (which is the year I read Harry Potter for the first time).

FIVE Stars! Wonderful characters! Action-packed! Easy-to-read! Unpredictable! Page-turner! Tragic! Entertaining! Happily Ever After! Funny! Great world building! Original! Tear-jerker! Romantic!

Happy Reading, Friends!
